Howdy!
I’m Chief Resident in Dallas, Texas. Aspiring to become a cardiologist, with specific interests in cardiovascular epidemiology and access to therapies — I hope to prevent heart disease, one lipid-lowering-therapy at a time.
Since 1st year of medical school, I have been drawing:
What started as simple doodles in between lectures soon blossomed into a full blown “dual identity” as a cartoonist and an illustrator.

By MS3 year, I accumulated enough cartoons to publish a graphic novel in Korea.

One of the most exciting moments in my medical school years was when I worked with my medical school, Yonsei University College of Medicine, to design the walls of the ECG and Treadmill Test suite.

Residency has kept me busy, but art has been an outlet for me, like annual contributions to our residency’s Healing Arts and Humanities Journal.

For the past two years, one of my passion projects has been Medical Education. I have been working with Core IM and New England Journal of Medicine as graphic lead for their Beyond Journal Club podcast series. One of our most recent drawings was something like this:

I hope to continue to work towards reaching the world with powerful messages that link medicine with art.
